Good Morning Church Family!

Hello Church Family,

I hope you have a meaningful and impactful Holy Week.  1 Corinthians 15:3-11 reminds us:

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,  that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.  Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.  But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.  Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

Tonight, we have our Maundy Thursday Service at 6:30 p.m.  We will share the Lord’s Supper together as a church family.

On Sunday we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ!  We have Life Connection Group at 9:30 a.m. and Worship at 11:00 a.m.  We will have a nursery but no children’s church that day.  Please invite your family and friends.

Next Sunday, April 7 we embark on a new chapter in the history of our church.  On April 7th we have Celebration/Ratification Sunday where we celebrate joining the Northwood Family of Churches and in doing so will adopt a new name and new bylaws.  Please invite lots of family, friends, and even former Gethsemane members as we celebrate what God has done in the past and what He is going to do in the future. Immediately after the worship service we will have a covered dish dinner.  Jeff Hartman will be helping cook the meat. Everyone else bring sides.  We will have a jump castle for the kids.

I am thankful to be your pastor.

Grace to you,
Pastor Jay
